David pursued higher education with vigor, earning his Doctor of Education. He balanced his rigorous academic pursuits with a full-time job, all while supporting his family. His career spanned several decades during which he made significant contributions as an educator, author, and owner of a publishing business.
David's personal life was enriched by his loving family and a plethora of interests. He leaves behind his wife of 70 years, Muriel, and was a cherished brother to Sonja Vincent. His legacy continues through his children: Joan (Lennart) of Uppsala, Sweden; Wesley (Ada) of Peachtree City, GA; Rhonda (Bernard) of Great Falls, VA; and Connie (Mark) of Kailua Kona, HI. He was a proud grandfather to Sara, Alba, Erik, Alan, Emma, and Kevin, and a great-grandfather to three.
An avid Ham radio operator for over 70 years, David was a respected member of his local club. His passion for aviation also saw him soar the skies as a private pilot. Despite his battle with cancer in his later years, he faced his challenges with courage and dignity.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. David's life was one of profound impact and enduring relationships, marked by his intellectual pursuits. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
