It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a beloved daughter, sister, and friend, Dawna Jean Marie Wilson, who left us far too soon at the age of 17. Dawna was an 11th grader at Mountain View High School in Vancouver, Washington. She was born April 17, 2008, in Vancouver Washington, and passed away on April 25, 2025, in Portland, Oregon.

Dawna was a bright light in the lives of her family and friends, known for her infectious smile and happy-go-lucky spirit that could lift the mood of any room. She loved food, her iPad, music, and musical toys. All of Dawna's family and friends loved sharing countless memories and laughter over their mutual love for music and dancing. Taylor Swift's music (Shake It Off specifically) never failed to put a smile on Dawna's sweet face.

She is survived by her loving parents (Michael and Krysta Wilson, birth mother Josephine Haralson) as well as 3 devoted sisters (Alicia (who also goes by Evyn), Lily and Rebekah), who all cherished her deeply. Dawna had many grandparents who adored her. Tom & Andrea Haralson of Vancouver, WA. Vanessa Grant of Creswell, OR. John and Tonya Armstrong of Coos Bay, Oregon. Dawna was lucky enough to have great grandparents in her life as well, Donald and Diane Malcolm. Her extended family, including many aunts, uncles, and cousins adored her as well.

Dawna is proceeded in death by her Memaw, Cis Wilson, Papa, Ron Grant, and Uncles, Eric Haralson, and Christopher Wilson.

Her kindness and warmth touched everyone she met, and her legacy of joy will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. As we remember her vibrant spirit, we celebrate the beautiful moments she brought into our lives. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten.

Dawna's family would like to express endless gratitude, love, and appreciation to the staff at Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Portland, Oregon as well as the staff and students at Mountain View High School in Vancouver, Washington. They all truly loved and protected Dawna every day she was in their care.
