Eleanor Jean
Will
May 7, 1932 — Jan 21, 2025
Long Beach
Eleanor Jean Will (Gill) was born May 7, 1932, to Dolph and Ruth Gill in Vancouver, WA. She was the second of six children. Eleanor graduated from Vancouver High School. She met her husband, Keith, and they were married in Sept. of 1950. Together they had five children.
Keith and Eleanor moved to Long Beach, WA, 35 years ago. Here is where Eleanor thrived by working in her garden and participating in activities with her friends. Eleanor was a talented lady. She had painted many paintings and knickknacks over the years. She was a quilter (making and donating many to Quilts from the Heart), a knitter, a sewer, a master gardener and had recently learned how to crochet. Eleanor was line dancing up to three months prior to her death. Her goal was to make it to 100 years old. A doctor once asked her why settle for a short goal, why not make it 106? Sadly, she didn't achieve that, but in her last few months she was surrounded by family every day and we will treasure every last minute.
Eleanor is survived by sons, Jim, Dan and Mark Will (wife, Paula); daughter, Denise Tess (husband, Jim); brothers, Alan and Wally Gill (wife, Judy); sisters, Jeanette Herb and Glenda Gill; 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith; brother, Charles; son, Kenneth; and great-grandchild, Alvaro.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, Feb. 11, 3:30 p.m. at Park Hill Cemetery in Vancouver, WA.
