GWEN ELEANOR SHEFCHEK
September 20, 1946 ˜ July 7, 2022

In loving memory of Gwen Eleanor Shefchek. A lifelong resident of Vancouver, WA. Born Sept. 20, 1946, she was the daughter of Glen and Audrey Richardson. Gwen the beloved wife of Charles raised a family, built their dream home and enjoyed retirement together. She loved being a mother, grandmother and great grandmother!

While raising her family she worked as a teacher's aid at Walnut Grove Elementary School. She worked in retail at Meier & Frank as well as secretary at Palena and Associates. She retired from Kaiser Permanente. She was most of all a natural homemaker like her mother. She loved journaling, shopping sales, the beach and Keno!

Gwen, not only beautiful was very personable, a good listener and cared deeply for the one's she loved. She was baptized in 1963, had a strong faith in our Creator and instilled that in her children.

She suffered a lengthy battle with Dementia and eventually succumbed to it July 7th. Gwen spirited and lovely will be greatly missed until we meet again!

As she is now in the loving arms of her Creator, she has reunited with many beautiful souls that have missed her as well.
Gwen is survived by her husband, Charles; her children Corrine (Fred), Brenda (Doug), and Charles Jr.(Kelly); five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; as well as brothers, Kenneth and Bruce Richardson.

She will be buried at Mother Joseph Catholic Cemetery on August 19th at 1:15 p.m. Hamilton and Mylan Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements.
