Obituary

Hazel Francis Hall left us on December 14, at the young age of 92. She passed peacefully with her family and close friends by her side. Born May 5,1932 in Seattle, Washington, to George and Alice Kenny. She graduated from Vancouver High School.

While raising her children, she worked at Boise Cascade Paper Mill and later at Keils Grocery Store as a meat wrapper. Hazel also worked as a bartender at several local taverns.

Hazel enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, and traveling. She loved spending time at the Coast with family and friends, either clam digging, playing cards or hanging out at the Moose Lodge.  She was a very competitive cribbage player, loved to play bingo, and participated in many Texas Hold-Em tournaments.

Hazel was well known for her sense of humor and loved to play pranks on family and friends.

Those who knew her well would agree that she had a passion for life, loved her family, friends, travel, and golf. She couldn't wait until she turned 90, when she was awarded free golf as a resident of Fairway Village.

Her years at Fairway Village were filled with social engagements, friendships, and countless games of golf.  She loved being a part of the travel club and was able to travel throughout the country and overseas.

She had recently moved from Fairway Village and into The Quarry where she enjoyed making more friends and participating in all the social activities offered.

Hazel was a Catholic all her life and a member of Saint Joseph Church.

Hazel loved her family, including her little Brother Bill Kenny, Daughter Jodie (Greg) Sharp, Son Michael (Michelle) Kearns.  She adored her Grandchildren: Jenna (Kyle) Kellmer, Branden (Heather) Kearns, and Kevin (Sylvia) Kearns, Haley Sharp (Luke Brostean) and Tyler Sharp.  She was blessed with 4 Great-Grandchildren: Kayden, Tate, Ryder, and Zoey.  Hazel remained close with former in-laws, Curt Wyrick and Cheryl Kearns.  She also had many loving nieces and nephews.  The family would like to acknowledge Jim and Carol Nystrom, whose friendship and support meant the world to Hazel.

She is predeceased by Husband Melvin Hall, Sisters Mary Ellen Brusseau and Margaret Bentz, Brother David Kenny, and Grandson Jacob Kearns.

Her burial will be at Mother Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
