Joanne Rose Brunette Brandon, age 87 passed peacefully on Sunday, August 28, 2022, at Legacy Hospital in Vancouver, WA.
She was born February 19, 1935 in International Falls, MN. To Leo and Adrienne Brunette. She was a 1953 graduate of International Falls High School. Met the love of her life Raymond Brandon (deceased) in 1954. Obtained her nursing license in Duluth, MN in 1956. Married Raymond on February 9, 1957.
Soon after the two started a family. Five children in total: In between the kids and her love for making barbie clothes, Joanne worked as a nurse in Minnesota, Tennessee, California. She continued her career as a nurse in Washington after the family moved in 1977. She worked as a nurse at Peace Health (Formally Southwest Washington Medical Center) until she retired in 1999.
In the early years of her retirement, she enjoyed spending the winters in Arizona with her sister Eileen, visiting the occasional casino and bingo parlor with her brother Leo Brunette (deceased) and sister-in-law Nikki Brunette. Joanne also enjoyed crocheting; it was one of her favorite hobbies. She single handily crochet each of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren Christmas stockings, numerous amounts of blankets and dish clothes. When she wasn't crocheting or knitting it was likely because she was reading on of her favorite murder mystery novels or watching Midsummer Murder, Hart to Hart and Perry Mason television show.
All who knew Joanne knew she had a heart of gold.
She is survived by Lee Brandon, Theresa (Marty Whaley), Penny (Larry Curtis) and Vincent Brandon (Rita), 12 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. She is procced in death by her Husband Raymond Brandon, Daughter Margaret King, two Grandsons Raymond Brandon & Scott Brandon.
