Judy was born in The Dalles, Oregon to Lotus D. and Frances M. Ewing.  She passed away in Vancouver, WA on June 19, 2024.

Judy was the youngest of six children. She grew up in Lyle, Washington.  She married Leland Mitchell in 1962. They moved to Longview, Washington and had two children, Christine and Gregory. Judy and Leland later divorced. She married F. Dennis Clarke in 1979.  Dennis had three children of his own (Debra, Dennis and Tracy), and they had their own version of "The Brady Bunch."

Judy worked several years in the retail business and after moving to Ocean Shores worked as the Business Manager for North Beach School District until she retired in 2008.  Judy and Dennis were regulars at the Home Port where they had a reserved table to meet with their wonderful friends on Friday nights.

Judy was a member of Beta Sigma Phi for many years. She was also active in Kiwanis and North Beach Booster Club.  As a cancer survivor she enjoyed participating in Relay For Life events with her family. She regularly volunteered at the annual Dugan's Run event in Ocean Shores with her good friend, Phyllis.  Judy loved traveling with her family and friends.  She enjoyed going to various Rotary events with Dennis, especially their trips to Coeur d'Alene, ID, Victoria and Whistler, BC and Mexico City. After retiring, Judy moved to Salem, OR, Baker City, OR, and then to La Center, WA.

Judy is survived by her children Chris (Bill) Close of La Center, WA and Greg (Allison) Mitchell of Baker City, OR; her grandchildren Brandon Hansen, and Joshua Mitchell; and great granddaughter Aria Mitchell; her sister Janice (Dave) Graber of Coos Bay, OR, and Sister-in-law Myrt Ewing of Newport Beach, CA; Stepsons Dennis (Jana) Clarke of Sun Lakes, AZ and their daughter Lynne, and Tracy (Mari) Clarke of Federal Way and their son Clarence; Debra's son, "Nick" Collucci and his two boys; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins that meant the world to her.

Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Clarke; her parents; her siblings Joyce Sauls, Kent Ewing, H. Keith Ewing, Geraldine Ewing; and her stepdaughter, Debra Palmer.

Inurnment will be at the Lyle-Balch Cemetery. No public service is planned at this tim
