Katy was born in Nome, Alaska and lived in Juneau, Alaska in her early years. She moved with her family in 1960 to Vancouver, Washington. Katy graduated from Providence Academy in 1965 and continued her education at Clark College, earning her licensed practical nursing degree in 1967 and completing her registered nursing degree in 1973. Katy shared her compassionate care and skills working as a nurse in local hospitals for many years. She was an enthusiastic member of the Red Hat Club, an avid quilter, and loved her furry friends to include rabbits and her beloved littledog "Missie". Katy cherished her friendships she made throughout her life of giving, service, and love. Katy is survived by two sisters and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a private family service.
