Kevin Keith Runnels

Kevin Keith Runnels; husband, father, uncle, brother and friend passed away on May 31, 2023. He went into the hospital with a stroke. A day later when he was getting ready to be transferred out of the ICU, he then suffered a heart attack and shockingly passed away. He was 47.

Born December 3rd, 1975, in Fountain Valley, CA to Kerry Keith Runnels and Alice Lorraine Rhea. The family moved to Hesperia, CA at the end of Kevin's elementary school. Kevin graduated high school from Hesperia High in 1993.

Kevin married Julie Ilene Harned on September 12, 2003, in Hawaii. During their life together, they welcomed daughter Ruby Jane in 2005 and son Kaden Keith in 2007. During the early years, Kevin and Julie moved to San Antonio, TX where work paved the way to Vancouver, Washington not long after. They have lived in the PNW since 2009.

He worked as a fiber splicer throughout his life; making a change to the office environment for a short time only to discover he preferred to be in the field. He continued to be a fiber splicer in the Cable industry until his early departure from this world. Kevin was very passionate about music and loved attending concerts, hiking the beautiful PNW, and spending time with his family. Kevin always cracked jokes and loved to make people laugh.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents Kerry and Alice and sister, Darda Casassa. He is survived by his wife Julie Runnels, children Ruby and Kaden Runnels and sister Vicki Runnels.
