Michael passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, after suffering complications from surgery. He was 71. Mike lived in Montana as a young child. He moved to Vancouver, WA, with his parents where he continued to attend school, live, and work.
Mike graduated from Fort Vancouver HS and Washington State University. He continued to be a WSU Cougar fan for life. He and his son traveled and saw the Cougars play in the 1998 Rose Bowl. He logged many miles to soccer games and tournaments to support his daughter.
Mike married his wife Lynn (Miller) of 49 years in 1973. They have two beloved children, Scott McGraw, and Erika (Jon) McManus. Mike also has three cherished grandchildren, Josephine McGraw, Brynna McManus, and Clayton McManus. He enjoyed doing special projects in his shop with Josephine and Brynna and making chocolate chip cookies with Clayton. He dearly loved and was extremely proud of his family.
Mike was a career banker/loan officer and retired as Vice President/Financial Center Manager with Chase Bank. Mike's other talents included carpentry and woodworking. He loved taking vacations with his children and grandchildren.
Mike and Lynn toured Europe twice where he fell in love with Paris, France. They enjoyed a last trip to Yellowstone last September.
As well as above-mentioned relatives, Mike is survived by his mother, Norma McGraw; sisters, Lorie (Jerry Hilbish) McGraw and Melinda (Brian Hofrichter) McGraw. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Howard (Pat) McGraw.
Michael enjoyed people, was always ready and willing to assist those around him and had a positive impact on the lives of the people he loved and encountered.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Doernbecher Children's Hospital.
A memorial service will be held on March 19 at 1:00 p.m. at Vancouver First United Methodist Church. 401 E. 33rd Street Vancouver, WA 98663
