Millard "Ray" Tope passed away Aug. 30, 2025, at home surrounded by family. Born at Randolph AF Field, TX, to Millard and Iris Tope. He is survived by wife, Janice (Hatzenebeler) Tope of 39 years, sister Terri & son Cary, & two stepchildren, Stephanie & Gary Wood.

Ray graduated from Central Washington University in 1983 with a BS in Occupational Safety and Health. He worked in the Pacific Northwest as a safety engineer.

H e loved fishing, hunting, cars & car shows with the Ford Galaxy Car Club. Beach combing for agates & driving the back roads.
The family thanks the Eden Home Health and Hospice for their care of Ray. Thanks to Joyce of CDM Washington State Agency for her in-home care and valued friendship.

Ray's life celebration is Sunday, Sept. 14, at Vancouver American Legion, 14001 NE 20th Ave., Vancouver, WA 98686 from 1-3 p.m. Burial is at Wenatchee Cemetery Sept. 15, 2025, at 1 p.m.
