Nadine Peterson, 86, was born March 16, 1940, in Havre, Montana, the oldest of three children to Robert and Ardeth Trudell. Nadine died peacefully of natural causes on June 6, 2026, in Vancouver, WA.

The family moved to Portland in 1952 where she attended Ockley Green Grade School and Jefferson High School, where she was Rose Festival Princess in 1958. Nadine attended the U of O and Portland State College and then became a flight attendant for United Airlines.

Nadine married her high school sweetheart, Richard Peterson, in 1962, a dentist for 45 years in the US Navy, Medford, OR and Rainier, OR. She often assisted in his dental practice and enjoyed many wonderful relations with his patients.

Nadine loved being a wife and mom! She is survived by her husband of nearly 64 years, Richard, sons Charles (and wife Janine) and David, and two grandchildren, Bradley and Amy. She is also survived by sister Roberta Plaisted.

A celebration of life will be held sometime in the fall.
