Patricia “Pat” Anderson, 91, passed away on September 4, 2026, in Vancouver, Washington. Born on October 18, 1934, in Lisbon, North Dakota, she was the eldest of five children, a responsibility that helped shape her strength, discipline, and lifelong devotion to others.

In 1951, Pat married Carl Anderson. Together they built a life first in Vancouver and later in Ridgefield, Washington, where they raised their four sons, Jamie, Michael, Robert, and Brian. Family remained at the center of Pat’s life. She brought people together for birthdays, holidays, milestones, and even occasions others might overlook, creating traditions that made family gatherings feel special and enduring.

Pat had a distinctive sense of taste and style and found joy in creating beauty around her. She was an extraordinary cook, an accomplished seamstress, and a Master Gardener. She could also be a taskmaster with her children and grandchildren, expecting effort, responsibility, good manners, and service to others. Her high standards reflected her belief that those she loved should grow into capable, generous people who contributed to the lives of others.

Her Catholic faith was central to her life. As an active member of her parish, she lived that faith through service, compassion, and concern for family and community. She carried those same qualities into her career with the Ridgefield School District, where she served as business manager until retirement.

Pat was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carl, and their four sons. She is survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, friends, and fellow parishioners. Her legacy lives on in the traditions she created, the standards she set, and the faith, service, and love she passed to generations of her family.

Pat’s funeral will be held at St Mary’s of Guadalupe Catholic church in Ridgefield, Washington on October 1st at 11:00 a.m.
