Obituary

Phoebe Hollenbeck Turley, age 88, of Sequim, Washington, passed away on Sunday, July 26. Born on February 24,1938, in Nampa, Idaho, she will be remembered for her dedication to her family, her faith in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, her accomplished career, and the creativity and warmth she shared with those around her.

Phoebe worked for many years in the banking industry starting in marketing at Old National Bank working her way up to a Regional Vice-President role. She sat on the board of the National Council of Higher Education Student Loan Programs which involved testifying to Congress and State Legislators on behalf of the student loan industry. Her work reflected her intelligence, dependability, and strong sense of purpose. Outside of her career, Phoebe enjoyed drawing and painting, and expressing herself through art. She also loved playing golf, board games, and connecting with family and friends.

Phoebe is survived by her husband, Mark Turley; her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Sue Hollenbeck; her daughter and son-in-law, Keile and Larry Jacobsmuhlen; her daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Jeff Bingaman; her sister and brother-in-law, Penney and Larry Blankenship; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Phoebe was preceded in death by two husbands (Bud Mickelsen, married for five years, and Keith Hollenbeck, married for 43 years); her sons Martin Mickelsen and Jeremy Hollenbeck; her brother, Ron Fellows; and her sisters, Carol McQuitty and Linda Brazille. She leaves behind a legacy of love, perseverance, and cherished memories.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
