REUBEN JAMES "JR" QUAM
February 16, 1943 ˜ April 27, 2022

Reuben James Quam was born Feb. 16, 1943, in Elma, IA. He passed away April 27, 2022, at home surrounded by family after a long battle with prostrate cancer.

He was born to parents Ruben Arthur Quam and Dorthy Ancillia Shaffer of Elma, IA. He had eight brothers and three sisters. He was the proud father of five children, Cindy, Brenda, Lisa, Tammy, Mark, and stepson Erik Fleet; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Reuben aka JR grew up in Elma and lived on the family farm with his brothers and sisters until he married and moved to Vancouver, WA, in the late 60's. He worked for Wolf's Appliances and in 1984 he started Quam's Carpet Cleaning and now Quam's Handyman Services and is now ran by his daughters. He loved spending time with his family and watching Gulf. He will be deeply missed by all.
