Robert (Bob) L. Baranske, 93, passed away on Dec. 11, 2023. He was born in Harrah, OK. Bob served in the Navy and worked for Southern Pacific Railroad before becoming a barber in Hazel Dell. He barbered for 65 years. Bob owned his own barber shop inside the former Keil's grocery center in Hazel Dell. Many loyal customers followed Bob to other business locations in Hazel Dell. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Marge; one son, Mike (Barb) of Garibaldi, OR; and grandchildren, Robert and Kaylin. Bob is also survived by many caring neighbors and his beloved cat, Bella. He enjoyed gardening, home improvement projects, country western music, watching Gonzaga basketball, buying lottery tickets and keeping his vehicles immaculate. Bob produced the biggest and best tomatoes and a beautiful field of iris that he generously shared with neighbors and clients. He also maintained a koi pond in his backyard. At Bob's request, there will be no service. Remember Bob the next time you get a good haircut.
