Ronald Allen Brown (74) was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on June 3, 2023, after a courageous battle with multiple health challenges.
Ron was born in Aberdeen, WA on April 15, 1949, to his parents Gordon and Virginia (Madden) Brown.
He was the youngest of 3 children and grew up in the areas of Aberdeen, Montesano, Centralia and Camas, WA. He graduated from Camas High School in 1967 and continued his education at Eastern WA
State College and Mount Hood Community College where he earned his Associate Degree in Mortuary Science, obtaining his professional licenses as a Funeral Director and Embalmer. Ron worked with his father, Gordon Brown and brother, Gordy Brown at Brown's Funeral Home in Camas, WA and later becoming the owner of Brown's Funeral Home.
Ron spent his professional life building a business in the funeral industry. Always focused on serving the communities and their families with compassion, kindness and making it a celebration of their loved one's life.
In his spare time, he enjoyed watching his beloved Washington Huskies, Portland Trailblazers, Seattle Mariners and all the C-W High School sporting programs. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cribbage, crossword puzzles, saying zingers and one-liners, telling his stories and taking trips to the beach. He was a member of North Lake Church in Camas, Past Master at Clark Lodge #203, Washington Lodge #4, North Bank Lodge #182, Scottish Rite Bodies, C-W Chamber of Commerce and a Charter member of Sigma Phi Sigma Mortuary Fraternity.
Ron is survived by his wife, Cathy; sons, Chris, Nick, Nathan Brown; stepdaughters, Shannon White, Melissa Beaudoin; numerous grandchildren and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers.
A special thank you to all the Peace Health caregivers and Jason Doucett, Bill Martien and Patti Wooden that helped and supported Ron in his final months.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Ron on Thursday, June 15th at 11:00 a.m. at NorthLake Church, 500
SE Everett St, Camas, WA. in lieu of flowers Ron's request was to make donations to the Shriners.
