Our Story
Hamilton-Mylan Funeral Home has a rich history, evolving over the years as new partners joined and businesses merged. The building, originally a home built in 1853, was converted into a funeral home in 1917. By the 1920s, the funeral chapel was added to hold services on-site. In 1966, the Knapp Funeral Home, established in 1905, merged with Hamilton-Mylan, and the funeral home became Hamilton-MylanKnapp-Gunderson Funeral Home when John Gunderson became an owner. In recent years, we simplified the name to Hamilton-Mylan Funeral Home. David Fuller became the owner in 1985 and has continued the tradition of providing compassionate care to families in their time of loss.
